Driver Conor Daly dealt with wet conditions at the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday ― and it wasn’t just the 45-minute rain delay. (Watch the video below.)
He said he peed in his race car as he waited for the race to start. His TMI had the race banquet room flooded with laughter on Monday.
“Never in my life have I urinated in my race car until Sunday,” he said. “I was sitting on the grid and I was like this is the best car I’ve ever been in in my whole life. I’m gonna have to pee in this thing. .. I legitimately urinated in my race car before the race even started.”
“I had to go really bad! I don’t know if it’s the diabetes or I’m just getting older,” he explained. “I literally did the the entire race sitting in my own pee.”
“I feel like we’re in a trust tree here,” he said. “We don’t have to show that on Fox. Maybe you guys can just keep that to yourselves.” (For what it’s worth, the ceremony aired on Fox Sports 1.)
“This car is super fast,” Daly told IndyStar. “I’d like to just put it in the trailer and hopefully if they’ll have me back next year, wheel it out for next year and just try to figure out how we do it again.”
Hopefully they remember to clean it, too.
